This historical event is a highlight of our community, benefiting thousands of neighborhood participants and onlookers who gather each year to celebrate in Cleveland’s West Park Neighborhood.
The Kiwanis Club of West Park’s Iconic Fourth of July Parade is a proud tradition and a true expression of community spirit! This annual extravaganza has become a cornerstone of West Park’s identity, drawing participants from all walks of life. Last year’s procession featured over 100 registrants, including local businesses, non-profit organizations, political figures, and community organizers. Spanning over a mile and a half and attracting thousands of spectators, the parade is the crown jewel of Independence Day celebrations in Cleveland, showcasing the enduring unity and pride in West Park.

Here are some of the volunteer opportunities available for the 2024 West Park 4th of July Parade:
-
Registration:
We need individuals to greet and check in each of the parade’s participants. Registration takes place from 8:30 – 9:30 AM in front of Fitness 19 in Kamms Plaza.
-
Parade Guides:
From registration, we need guides to ensure all participants find their designated parade “step-off” locations along Kamms Corners and Lorain Avenue.
-
Parade Good-Will Ambassadors:
Marching in the parade is always a treat! We ask all Ambassadors to hand out small leaflets with West Park Kiwanis information, including our website and social media QR codes, to raise awareness of our mission.
-
Photographers:
Calling all amateur photographers! Over the years, we have captured the spirit of this age-old tradition, and we would love your help to photograph parade participants and onlookers to share the story of this momentous event.
